Ziegler Film

Ziegler Film GmbH & Co. KG (until 2000: Regina Ziegler Filmproduktion) is a German film production company founded in 1973 by Regina Ziegler and headquartered in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Further locations are in Cologne, Munich and Baden-Baden. The company is responsible for the production of over 500 feature films, television series and TV series.

The first film production “Ich dachte, ich wäre tot” (directed by Wolf Gremm) by Bayerischer Rundfunk and Ziegler Film received the German Federal Film Award in 1973. Numerous other national and international awards for Ziegler productions followed over the years.

In 2000, Regina Ziegler Filmproduktion's film production company was renamed Ziegler Film GmbH & Co KG, a documentary film department was added and her daughter, Tanja Ziegler (* 1966), joined the production company in February of that year and has owned the majority of company shares since 2006.
